The lmyc has been the home of model yacht sailing in central london since 1876 . we sail at the round pond in kensington gardens, overlooked by kensington palace. the club focuses on the racing radio controlled 10-raters, international one metres, dragonflite95 s and vintage model yachts.. The mid thames model boat club was founded in 1980 and has since developed into one of the largest clubs in the south of england. it is a friendly club that encourages members to build and enjoy all sorts of model boats. we have active sections for fast electric, scale models, tug towing and yachting (model yacht racing)..
