sheet metal jon boat floor
I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the exact type of sheet metal that is good for flooring and decking in a jon boat. i'm currently working on redoing a 1987 monark 15 ft boat and after countless searches, i can't find any specifics in regards to thickness or type of sheet metal.. In this video i venture out to home depot and lowe's to do in store walk throughs in search of my personal top 5 jon boat build materials. these are items i have confidence in, used in my #. A metal floor increases the functionality and durability of your boat. this is because you get more bilge storage room with a metal floor, which enables you to have a more organized vessel. metal floors remain in good condition for several years, as they have a high resistance to wear and tear..

Re: floor materials for aluminum boat i just ordered my wood yesterday. i checked all over and menards was the cheapest. theirs was marine ab, where lowes was bc. i have 2 sheets of 3/4" ($69.99 ea.) and 5 sheets of 1/2" ($49.99 ea.) coming next week. i plan to keep this boat forever so i went with the good stuff..
